I suppose I'd better tell you a little about myself. I started playing guitar when I was sixteen, (quite old to begin really) but it wasn't long before I found that I loved playing.
I developed fast and found that I'd absorb new information and techniques almost as soon as I'd found them. I started going to a private teacher a year after I'd begun and studied with him for about a year, enjoying the experience greatly, but, very soon I found I needed a greater source of information.
I enrolled at the Musicians Institute London; at first I took a part time course to make sure I had the bare bones down, and then went on to do the yearlong diploma. I still think this was one of the happiest years of my life, Studying many and varied styles of playing, stage work, sight reading, lead and rhythm, ear training, harmony and theory, all of these were then put into practice during live performances.
After graduating I took a few of week's well-deserved holiday and then started building up my teaching business. I enjoy passing on everything I've learnt to my students, seeing them have as much fun as I did when I first began. Oh well, I think that covered most of it. I hope you enjoy the site.
